About Us

The Electrical Energy Technologies Research Center (E2Tech) is a program center at the University of Santiago de Chile founded in 2020, where researchers from various specialties come together with the purpose of conducting teaching, research, development, training, and community engagement activities to establish a high-impact technological center. The goal is to design, manufacture, and experimentally validate technological solutions generated from advanced research that enable efficient management of electrical energy in various applications.

Our Mission

Our mission is to advance in research and technological development to enhance the efficiency of electrical energy conversion, focusing on power electronics, electromobility, unconventional renewable energies, and smart grids. Through R&D projects, we develop solutions in vehicle charging infrastructure, machine drives, and electronic converters for industrial applications. We are committed to creating efficient and sustainable technologies, benefiting society, strengthening the electrical system, and enriching the academic sphere, particularly at the University of Santiago de Chile.

Our Vision

We envision ourselves as leaders in technological development for energy sustainability at both national and international levels, forging strategic global partnerships. We envision a center renowned for its advanced infrastructure and outstanding research in power electronics, renewable energies, electromobility, and smart grids. We aspire to educate professionals with outstanding technical capabilities and to be a driving force behind technological solutions that benefit the environment and foster innovative businesses, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of society.
